Spring Dampers & Clutch Springs

Force Technology focuses on technical excellence and is one of Europe’s most technically advanced and innovative clutch spring and damper spring manufacturers.

For damper and clutch springs we design to maximise fatigue life in combination with maximising spring force in a confined space.

We have worked in partnership with the leading designers and manufacturers of heavy duty clutch springs and damper systems for over 30 years.

We work with Original Equipment manufacturers, supplying clutch springs and damper springs for some of the world’s fastest supercars to high endurance four-wheel drive vehicles.

All the parts are manufactured on site at the factory in Blackpool in the north west of England and parts are delivered globally.

We use the world’s best materials including clutch and valve quality grades of silicon chrome alloys. We also use materials with the addition of vanadium, nickel and molybdenum for high tensile and ultra-high tensile. Valve grade materials are available in superclean, eddy current tested and shaved options.

All parts are processed with very close attention to detail and to ensure the optimum in surface residual stress. We can offer shot peening and nitriding for the ultimate in performance and fatigue.

Spring damper and clutch spring end applications include:

  • Motorsport (Racing Clutch Springs)
  • Passenger Car (Springs in Clutch Plate)
  • Supercar
  • Premier Automotive
  • Commercial Vehicles
  • Truck and Bus
  • Off Highway Equipment
  • Yellow Plant Equipment
  • Military Vehicles

Our technical team continues to develop advanced engineering spring solutions to ensure:

  • reduced component wear
  • higher forces
  • maximised fatigue life
  • improve NVH performance
  • higher engine speeds
  • improved performance
  • improved fuel consumption lower emissions

As well as heavy duty clutch springs we produce a range of highly effective damping springs using the latest materials and processes

Our advanced damping design methodology includes:

  • Progressive Pitch Damping
  • Dual Rate Pitch Damping
  • Laid On End Shapes
  • Conical Damping
  • Beehive Reduced End Diameters
  • Dynamic Testing
